The 1980s were a golden era for television shows. One of the most beloved shows of the decade was CHiPs, an action-packed adventure that followed two motorcycle-riding police officers as they patrolled the streets of Los Angeles.
CHiPs debuted in 1977, and ran for six seasons until 1983. It starred Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox as the two officers, Frank “Ponch” Poncherello and Jon Baker. Together, they were part of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), patrolling the highways of California and helping keep the citizens safe.
