Small Wonder is an American television show that first aired in 1985, during the height of the 80s craze for sci-fi sitcoms. The show follows the life of an ordinary American family that adopts a state-of-the-art robot child named V.I.C.I. (pronounced “Vicki”). V.I.C.I. is an acronym for “Voice Input Child Identicant,” and she is designed to look and act just like a real human child. However, V.I.C.I. is not without her fair share of glitches and bugs, leading to some comical situations for the family. Despite her robotic nature, V.I.C.I. becomes a beloved member of the family, adding a unique twist to the classic sitcom format.
